My Turn.
| | | | |
In honor of those who have gone away.
As so many before me,
It is my turn to serve.
To protect that right
For others to be free.
I know not what lies in store
As I prepare to go.
I don't know if I'll come back
As the others before.
But I have a debt to repay
That cannot be explained.
This feeling inside
Is why others have fought
And some have died.
Pray for my comrades and me
As we go away
To fight for your right to be free.
We'll be home someday.
